Don't look into these beams! When directed at the ceiling, or at a wall, or even at a building across the way, you'll see clear discs of light; this thing is really powerful. In fact, I'm going to use it to throw some hot spots here and there to make my photography look more interesting too. For other tasks, such as eyeballing a bit or a tool tip, it's just too bright. Build and feel are very good. The lights switch on and off by the lightest touch, and when turned off there are pretty red rings at the base. These not only direct your attention to the on/off switches, but look great too. Buying items like these can be a crapshoot because there's just a photo to go on.
