Color is great. Mileage out of the refill is very good. The price for laser ink cartridges get to be pricey. You get refills equivalent to about 2 sets or ink cartridges.The Bad: Company literature is confusing and incomplete. One instruction was incorrect and didn't indicate the correct hole for the reload. This resulted in improper loading and leaking. Instructions did not provide clear step by step. For certain cartridges you have to drill a hole by which you squirt the powder refill into. Afterwards, you seal the hole using duck tape or gaffer tape. Verdict: If you're not into the work or figuring out how and where to work this don't bother. It gets messy. Powder flies all over. Also, if you are careless and powder falls into some parts in the printer it could it could mess up the printer and invalidate your warranty. If you're good with gadgets, tinkering and DIY then go... Taking duck tape and taping the bottle lid on helps. The black chip I had worked at first but after a few days my printer now reads an error. I've had to order a new toner cartridge for the black toner. Try to fill up your toner before it gets too low so you don't have to use the chips if you don't have to. |
